Quinta do Filoco Reserva Branco 2017

Stretching along the winding slopes of the Douro and Távora rivers, from the riverside to the plateaus of Tabuaço, the vineyards of Quinta do Filoco produce some of the best nectars of the Douro region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Owned by the Macedo Family, it originated with Jeremias de Macedo in the mid-20th century. An experienced man, determined and passionate about the land where he was born and raised - the Douro Region, he bought many hectares of vineyards throughout his life and built a winery, Adega da Casa Branca. His dream was to produce Douro and Port wines. The vineyards and the winery have been modernized with new equipment, combining tradition and modernity in the knowledge of making wine. The vineyards extend over about 130 hectares, with the planting of 100% Portuguese grape varieties, predominantly Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Malvasia Fina, Rabigato and Viosinho, grape varieties that allow to produce Douro wines of excellent quality, whites, reds and rosés, each with its own identity, reflecting its terroir.
