DouroAnsiães, Unipessoal, Ldª, is a young company whose foundation dates back to December 2012, but with recognized and growing dynamics, namely in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, where it is located, more specifically in the industrial area of the village of Carrazeda, administrative seat of this municipality. Its founder and current owner, engineer Zito Santos, explains thus, in the regional context, the objectives and scope of its creation of great impact on the economy of the municipality of Carrazeda: The winery of the company Douroansiães is located in the Demarcated Region of Douro in the sub region Douro Superior. This winery was built with the aim of disposing of the raw material of the winegrowers of the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, which until then was a huge sacrifice for them. It is in the Douro Superior that the best grapes are produced in terms of quality, as the soil has specific characteristics and rainfall is much lower compared to other regions. The Port wines produced in Douroansiães are of high quality, because the raw material is good, so the wines have to be good combining the oenological knowledge with the modern conditions of the winery.
