Douro receives from Pinhel the title that designates the European City of Wine. Members of the AMPV, mayors and their representatives were present at the passing Gala that took place in Pinhel last Saturday.
The flag that identifies the European City of Wine is officially in the Douro. In the region, the project advances with All Around Wine, the result of a joint application that includes the 19 municipalities that make up the CIM Douro.
The passage was made last Saturday by the Municipality of Pinhel, which until now had held the title. The Douro thus advances with joint and concerted strategies between the 19 to project the region, wines and tourism in 2023.
It should be recalled that the title European City of Wine was created in 2012 by RECEVIN, with the aim of promoting European wine producing regions. The assignment rotates between the countries that make up the European Network of Cities of Wine.
